chandigarh crime big braking : ​In another breakthrough the team of Police Station Sector 17, Chandigarh arrested the following accused from pune in case FIR No. 164 Dated 18.10.2021 u/s 419,420,467,468,471 IPC PS-17, Chandigarh.  

Brief Facts of case​ : ​​It is submitted that the aforementioned case has been registered on the complaint of Virender Singh Thakur S/o Lt. Sh. Sukhdev Singh R/o # 2145 Sec 27 C Chandigarh, Chief accountant officer, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, wherein he reported that the Branch Manager, Bank of Baroda, Sector-37, Chandigarh informed him on 18.10.2021 that two Cheques No. 000093 dated 13.10.2021 and 000094 dated 16.10.2021 issued in favor of HUSAN MUTARIK SHAIKH has been present for release of payment amounting to Rs. 98.51 lakh and Rs. 22.50 lakh respectively. On the confirmation received from the Bank Manager, the cheques were stopped for payment as these cheques were not issued by authorized signatories of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. After checking of record, it has been found that the same Cheques were forged and not issued by the Municipal Corporation. The matter was further taken up with the Branch Manager, Sector-37, Chandigarh to find out any previous payment released in similar situation and came to the notice that an amount of Rs. 28.51 lakh has been paid to M/s KARTIKYA FISH PLANT-WANI on 11.10.2021 which was also found forged. Thus, the alleged person has fraud the complainant on behalf of Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh for illegal payment of Rs. 28.51 lakh by produced an unauthorized presentation of two forged Cheques No. 000093 dated 13.10.2021 and 000094 dated 16.10.2021
 
Apprehension of Accused : ​​After the registration of the FIR sincere efforts were made to arrest the accused persons. A team was sent to Vill. Wani and Distt-  Yavatamal  Pune Maharastra to arrest the accused, with the technical assistant as well as human intelligence the accused Kotta Gadvani Thirupathi S/o Rajam R/o 05/1224-B, Mongalam park, Ganeshpur, Distt Yavatamai Maharastra age 43 Yrs was arrested from village & district, Wani, district Yavatama Maharastra with the untired work of the team and 02 Lac from his position produce before the local court and obtained transit remand for Chandigarh by SI Gurjivan Singh.

​Later on 26.10.2021, accused Kotta Gadvani Thirupathi was produced before the Hon’ble court and 08 days police remand till 03.11.2021, of accused was obtained. Later on by the sincere efforts of the team on 30.10.2021 accused Anand @ Bunty Nair R/O # Plot No. 37 Samta Nagar Nagpur Maharshatra Age-45 Years and Kamal S/o Sadashiv Koche R/O Shiv Mandir Road, Shrwasti Nagar Nagpur Maharshatra Age-42 Years have been arrested from Pune and they were allured by alleged Amit Nayyar and he gave 50, 000/- to Kamal and 30,000/- to Anand for helping them in the crime, after that they produce before Local Court and  obtained transit remand by I/O SI Gurjivan Singh No.1068/CHG for Chandigarh. During interrogation, it came to light that 02 persons namely Amit Nair and Srawan were arrested by Pune Police and recovered two checks from Amit Nayyar which were used on behalf of complainant MC Office Chandigarh, in this regard after obtaining production the further investigation will be conducted. No more police remand of Kotta Gadvani Thirupathi required. Today i.e. 01.11.2021, all the accused namely Kotta Gadvani Thirupathi, Kamal and Anand @ Bunty Nair have been produced before the Hon’ble court for judicial verdict. The investigation of the said case is going on.
